Orange Peel Textured Paint Finish

Introduction
This tutorial will walk you through how to repair a damaged orange peel textured wall. Repairing textured walls may seem difficult but it is really not that difficult. It will take some practice and once the wall is painted, the repair will blend in much better. First you need to determine what type of finish you're repairing. There are a few basic types of textured finishes for walls but they can go by different names:
  • Orange Peel (also Splatter or sometimes Eggshell)
  • Knockdown (also Skip trowel)
  • Sand
  • Popcorn (also Acoustic or Cottage Cheese) is a ceiling texture and is discussed in a different tutorial.
